Soraya Jones, CEO

Soraya is responsible to the Cambridge Wireless Board, to whom she directly reports on the activities of the organisation. She is reponsible for the growth of the business and in generating revenue for the company. She works closely with the dedicated group of SIG Champions and other partners to help add value to the Community. She believes very strongly in helping the Member Companies enhance their commercial opportunities. Finally she manages the great team on a day to day basis.

Something you don’t know about Soraya:
Soraya is a qualified refloxologist and in her spare time practises this with friends and family!
 

 

 

     

Clare Kettle, Head of Operations

Clare is in charge of the day-to-day running of the office and manages the delivery of the marketing activities of the company. In addition she manages and delivers the the annual international conference - The Future of Wireless International Conference. She is also involved in the planning and delivery of the SIG events for Cambridge Wireless.

Natalie Childs, Events and PR Manager (currently on maternity leave)

Natalie works on all things PR related and is organising the Future of Wireless International Conference. She enjoys managing the corporate brand, and designing the in house materials and banners and dabbles in the website. In her spare time she also runs a number of the SIG events.

Lily Cheng, Senior Business Development Manager  

Lily joined Cambridge Wireless in September 2011; she manages the delivery of SIG events and marketing activities within Cambridge Wireless. With a focus on membership marketing and business development, her passion lies within relationship management in order for member organisations to gain real business value.

Emma Newcomb, Events Coordinator 

Emma joined the Cambridge Wireless Team in June 2012 as an Events Coordinator, she will be planning and delivering SIG events and The Future of Wireless International annual conference.  Emma is also studying for a Professional Certificate in Event Management & Planning.

Something you don’t know about Emma:
Emma finished 2nd in the Under 14’s Girls Skiing British Championships, she is a keen rower and row’s for the City of Cambridge and she also has a Degree in Interior Design.

 

 

Sharni Humphrey, Marcomms and Events Executive

Sharni is the newest member of the team and known as the office’s resident ‘Tweetie Bird’ as she looks after Cambridge Wireless’ social media. Additionally, Sharni coordinates the PR and Marketing activities, and organises SIG events.
Gaining her degree from Leicester Business School, De Montfort University in Marketing sparked Sharni’s passion for finding new and innovative ways to stand out within the market.

Ingrid Sims, Events Coordinator

Ingrid has worked with Cambridge Wireless since August 2007 as an Events Co-Ordinator. She works from home doing 10-15 hours per week and would tend to describe her job as “getting everyone to the right place at the right time, fed, watered and clutching the right bits of paper”. At other times, Ingrid is kept busy with her two daughters, aged 13 and 11.

She also manages a girls’ football team, is on the committee of the Comberton swimming club and is involved with a village environmental group. Ingrid loves swimming, tennis and country walks with her dog.

Something you don’t know about Ingrid:
Before kids, Ingrid worked as a computer programmer and has a degree in Biochemistry and a diploma in Interior Design!

 

 

 

 

Teresa Fagg, Administrator

Teresa has worked for Cambridge Wireless since August 2007 as an Administrator.  Teresa’s primary role is to deal with everything connected with the database and backoffice. Prior to working for Cambridge Wireless Teresa’s background is the leisure and hospitality industry.  Teresa works on a part-time basis from home to fit in with caring for her disabled husband Johnny.

Teresa was the first female landlady for Greene King in the 1980s.

 

 

   

 

Helen Hays, Administrator

Helen has worked for Cambridge Wireless since January 2008 as an Administrator.  Helen’s role involves compiling the agendas for the Special Interest Group events, writing and editing promotional material and other administrative tasks. Helen works part-time from home and is mum to four children.. Prior to having children, Helen worked in a small events management company based in Aberdeen, whose clients included Michael Porter and Tom Peters.

Katja Stahnke-Graf, Event/Partnering Coordinator
 
Katja joined the Cambridge Wireless Team in May 2011. Currently she is organising SIG Events and responsible for Partnering within the Cambridge Wireless Community. Prior to her position, she finished her MSc in Occupational Health Psychology focusing on burnout and engagement. Therefore, she tries to support the Cambridge Wireless Team to keep stress levels low.

Louise O’Carroll FitzPatrick, Events Co-Ordinator
 
Louise joined Cambridge Wireless in March 2012 as a freelance Events Co-Ordinator. She combines her own Orthopaedic Event Management business, with her role at Cambridge Wireless as well as with two children, one husband and a black labrador called Denzil.  She is also Operations Manager for Borakis Foods who import Cretan food from their family farms in Crete to the UK.
 
 
Something you didn’t know about Louise: 
Louise is addicted to Zumba® Fitness and is an administrator for Natalia Bull, Zumba® Education Specialist.

 

 

   

Thomas Floate, Web Developer

Thomas is responsible for the day to day running of the Cambridge Wireless website.  His tasks involve liaising with the whole team with regards to modifications and more importantly improvements to the site.  Thomas Floate is also the Managing Director of IO Studios, a company specialising in website design and bespoke software development.

VFO Virtual Finance Office, Finance & Accounts

PEM’s Virtual Finance Office deal with all of Cambridge Wireless’ financial needs. Karina Arrowsmith  (Head of VFO) and Melanie Hallam raise and send all invoices to our members, pays our suppliers and calculates monthly numbers to let us know how we are doing. They support us in all aspects of finance – just like an internal finance & accounts department would. But for Cambridge Wireless they are a more cost effective solution than employing in-house staff.
