Cambridge Wireless is a community of companies with a shared interest in the application of wireless echnologies. Our activities are based around a number of Special Interest Groups SIGs), each focussed on a specific technology and/or market area. SIG meetings provide opportunities for member organisations to meet, form partnerships and exploit opportunities for new business.

Cambridge Wireless is a membership organisation based in Cambridge, UK which engages organisations that concern the whole wireless communications arena. This follows the early deployment of commercial 3G here in Cambridge and the national and international recognition of Cambridge as a major centre for wireless technology. Cambridge Wireless members see fresh opportunities to bring together key people and organisations with complementary needs and interests based on all major wireless technologies including: 3G, CDMA, WiFi, Zigbee, WiMax, Ultra Wide Band (UWB), Bluetooth and RFID, enabling them to communicate with partners around the world. 
 
Cambridge Wireless has a wide range of Special Interest Groups which operate alongside the Founder Members’ Dinners, Open events and website publishing format. The Special Interest Groups include, Future Wide Area Wireless, Games, Handsets, Location based Systems, Wireless Healthcare, Short Range Wireless, Software and Mobile TV and Multimedia. We will also be running a special project on the London 2012 event in November 2007. 
 
Cambridge Wireless is also delighted to have formed partnerships with equivalent counterparts around the world including CommNexus in San Diego and the Wireless Industry Partnership in Canada. As well as this, we have links to partners in the UK including Silicon Southwest and Wireless Innovation in Scotland.
