We specialise in enabling our clients to optimise their claims for R&D tax relief by using our deep experience in this area to design a bespoke methodology developed after engaging with both the technical and finance teams in companies. We enable companies to claim the full amount that they are entitled to supported by a robust claim methodology and project documentation.

We are able to bring a fresh approach to your claim process, very often being able to identify opportunities to enable you to claim more than you are at present. Our deep experience in this area comes from having specialised in claiming R&D tax relief since its inception in 2000 and having worked closely with HMRC, HM Treasury and BIS on the ongoing development of the reliefs since then through our membership of HMRC's R&D Consultative Committee.

The R&D relief is becoming more generous to SME companies with additional tax deductions for qualifying expenditure currently of 130% and from 1 April 2015 of 130%. The ability for non tax paying companies to claim cash back from HMRC has also being generously extended giving real financial support to those companies performing R&D.

The Patent Box tax relief offers companies receiving profits from qualifying patents to enjoy a reduced rate of corporation tax, with this eventually becoming 10%, as opposed to the current 20% rate by 1 April 2017.
