This joint FREE event provides the essential mix of inspirational examples combined with first-hand experiences surrounding the challenges of bringing research to market. The sessions will provide a basis for informal and formal discussions with a specially selected group of speakers representing small, medium and large organisations. This joint ICT KTN event is championed by Ian Wassell of Wireless Communication Team, David Roberts of Ogma Solutions, Alex Butler of Microsoft Research, Gordon Aspin of Cognovo and Claudio Marinelli of Nokia Corporation from the Academic and Industry SIG and Kevin Coleman of Alliantus, Leo Poll of Philips Innovation Services and Clennell Collingwood of TTP Ventures representing the Business SIG. This event is aimed at academic and industrial researchers and entrepreneurs.
The sessions provide inspirational examples of best practices to enthuse the audience to successfully transition emerging technologies from the lab to the market.
Speakers from a specially selected cadre of small, medium and large organisations will share first-hand experiences about the challenges, mistakes and lessons learnt in creating successful new ventures.
During the formal and informal sessions, we will discuss the journey from lab to corporation, including:

- identifying and meeting market needs
- technology scale up and manufacturing

- the constant evaluation required to transform business strategy and succeed
