Legal Briefing - 'Maximising Value and Minimising Spend on Patent Protection'
The second in the series of our new quarterly legal briefings will be hosted by our Legal SIG Champion, Anthony Waller, Partner of Olswang LLP who will welcome and introduce all to their first Legal Briefing session. Natasha Kaye, Partner of Olswang LLP, and Kevin Cordina, Senior Associate of Olswang LLP, will lead this round table discussion looking at the new UK Patent Box tax regime which is being introduced on the 1st April 2013.

Natasha Kaye, Partner of Olswang LLP, and Kevin Cordina, Senior Associate of Olswang LLP, will lead a discussion on maximising the value obtained from spending on patent protection and minimising tax spend. Natasha will explain how companies can benefit from the new UK Patent Box tax regime which could significantly reduce the tax burden of income from patented technologies. Kevin will explore how patent prosecution strategies can be used to increase the benefit of the patent box, and discuss how companies can reduce their spend on patent prosecution without decreasing quality and value by working hand-in-hand with their legal advisors.
