We are taking with us the importance of the basics that form the beginning of each innovation. Therefore, join us for a free RF and Microwave Fundamentals Seminar to help you further expand your foundation of knowledge.
Topics: Spectrum Analysis FundamentalsLearn why spectrum or signal analysis is important for a variety of applications and how to measure system and device performance using a signal analyzer. We will begin with an introduction to signal analyzers and a discussion of the theory of operation. We will examine the instrument's major components and their significance as well as the key signal analyzer specifications that are important for your application. Current measurement challenges and methods to address them will also be discussed.
Network Analysis FundamentalsThis course provides the introduction to the basics of vector network analysis in theory and practice. You will learn what kinds of measurements are made with network analyzers, and how they allow you to characterize both linear and nonlinear behavior of your devices. We will also discuss the major components in a network analyzer, including the advantages and limitations of different hardware approaches. This seminar will also include practical measurement exercises that we will demonstrate with different measurement setups. Additionally, you will receive a variety of lab exercises that explain how to set up the instruments step by step to perform certain measurements. Another unique offering for participants of this seminar will be the opportunity to get equipment on-site at your workplace at a later date. This will give participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the seminar exercises or perform even more measurement examples modified to their requirements to test.
Vector Signal Analysis FundamentalsSince their first introduction in 1993, Vector Signal Analysis has evolved into a powerful set of capabilities allowing the examination of signals in ways that were previously not possible. Whereas Spectrum Analysis makes scalar measurement of the “outside” of a signal, Vector Signal Analysis can reveal the vector behaviour “inside” the same signal. From observing device transient behaviour, to identifying buried interferes, to demodulating complex communications signals and characterising their distortions.
This course will introduce the fundamental concepts of Vector Signal Analysis and illustrate some the available techniques for unlocking difficult measurement problems.
