This Employment Law Seminar is being held in conjunction with Taylor Vinters. We trust that delegates will find our seminar useful, during which presenters from Taylor Vinters will share their knowledge and experience of dealing with social media issues. The seminar will cover, amongst other things:
- The risks of using social media to advertise jobs.
- The potential liabilities of using social media to conduct background checks on candidates, including data privacy and discrimination considerations.
- Providing practical guidance to reduce the risks faced by employers that use social media in the recruitment process.
- Identifying whether an employer should become involved in “private” staff disputes, which are aired on social media?
- Dealing with the misuse of social media in the workplace; when does this become a conduct/dismissal issue?
During our seminar, we will look at each of the above issues and provide practical guidance for employers on how to both embrace the increased use of social media but also deal with the potential pitfalls. We shall also use the opportunity to discuss the potential employment law implications of Brexit. We shall be looking at what key thinkers are saying about the potential ramifications of the decision and welcome the opportunity for attendees to share their thoughts about Brexit and discuss any initial reaction they have experienced within their organisations, following the decision.
Do join us for this interactive session, during which delegates will have the opportunity to ask any burning questions they may have.
