If you’re looking to trade with China this seminar will give you an overview of the country and what you should consider before entering the market.

We welcome guest speakers Alex Phillips from LNP China, who assist the world's most dynamic companies build successful businesses in China, and Boyi Mu from the China-British Business Council who help British and Chinese businesses and organisations work together in China, the UK and third markets around the world. Together, they will offer a unique insight into the country and offer help and advice on how to enter and grow your business in the Chinese market including:

  • How entry to the Chinese market has changed
  • Offer advice on what you should consider before entering the market
  • What you need to consider before your company operates in China
  • Identify what the opportunities are
  • Identify the countries strategies and priorities
  • Provide an update on marketing trends.

About the speakers:

Boyi Mu Adviser at the China-British Business Council (CBBC) Boyi previously worked for UK-China Trade and Investment (UKTI) at the British Embassy in Beijing, helping to organise sector events, trade missions and business delegations. Boyi has substantial experience helping to facilitating business development for various different stakeholders, and providing UK companies support in negotiating the barriers of doing business in China. Boyi is CBBC’s sector lead for low carbon industries, including infrastructure, energy and the environment.

Alex Phillips Sales & Marketing Director, LNP China Alex is driven by his passion for supporting companies expanding to China and holds deep expertise in China market-entry strategy and best practice. Alex is a sought after speaker on company operations in China and a leading influencer in the area of UK-China trade. Alex is an alumni of Peking University Law School, and practiced law before posts at the UK Foreign Office in Beijing and Department for International Trade in Guangzhou. He was Co-Chair of the British Chamber SME Forum in Beijing from 2015-16.
