Dr Tim Moore is VP Smart Devices at Coty, one of the world’s largest beauty companies. In 2016, Coty acquired GHD, where Tim worked as Chief Technology Officer, and was responsible for leading the team bringing all the latest breakthrough products from GHD. Tim’s role is to enable Coty and GHD to be Beauty Challengers by being leaders in smart and IoT devices that redefine beauty transformation to each and every individual. Tim will be sharing all on how they collaborate with startups and how to approach creating a winning product development strategy.

Who is Tim Moore?

Dr Tim Moore is the VP of Smart Devices at Coty and CTO of GHD. Tim has a wealth of experience in the invention and launch of market changing products, with a unique background in technology & science and strong international business experience. At GHD, Tim was responsible for product concept creation and building a world class hair science research team. Now at Coty, Tim leads the upstream innovation team, focusing on building GHDs innovation pipeline, creating game changing and breakthrough device innovations in beauty and developing and creating a smart and connected device (IoT) strategy.

You get a private dining experience with a knowledgeable speaker, 2 course dinner with wine or 2 soft drinks plus highly curated and relevant crowd. This is a dinner, not a dropin event, so we ask that guests turn up on time and don’t leave until after the Q&A. Most people buy a package of 3 dinners, which works out at £47 per dinner. At GHD, Tim was responsible for product concept creation and all aspects of product development including design, manufacturing and quality control, and building a world class hair science research team. Now at Coty, Tim leads the upstream innovation team, focusing on building GHDs innovation pipeline, creating game changing and breakthrough device innovations in beauty and developing and creating a smart and connected device (IoT) strategy. Recently GHD and Cambridge Wireless partnered to bring a new form of accelerator to the technology scene, with 5 companies invited to spend three months working alongside GHD R&D, the CW community and local technology mentors to co-design a prototype connected hair styling device.
