Summary
Blu Wireless Technology (BWT) develops cutting-edge wireless Gbps technology, based on the 802.11ad mmWave standard. With the initial core technology developed and demonstrated, we are now moving forward to take this through into production with our growing customer base.
Our IT systems need to develop and expand along with the growth of the company. We currently operate an in-house server farm of around 20 high-end computer servers and 2 file servers, all running Linux. These are used to support the needs of around 45 design engineers using Matlab and standard EDA design tools.
The role of the IT Support Manager is to develop and maintain our IT infrastructure to support the needs of the engineering community. This will include further growth of the systems, along with bringing best-practice into our current working methods.
What will I be accountable for?
- Maintenance and development of in-house Linux-based server farm.
- Maintenance and development of data backup solutions.
- Development of world-class security for our servers and networks.
- Supporting the needs of the engineering teams.
