Head of Product Partnerships, Next Billion Users (EMEA), YouTube

Summary

As a manager on the Next Billion Users team, you will lead the agreement execution and management of our mobile, broadband, and other technology partner relationships across a variety of emerging markets in EMEA. In addition to partner management responsibilities, you will help develop the strategy for partnerships in emerging markets in EMEA, while working closely with your cross-functional counterparts to ensure alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the EMEA emerging markets Product Partnerships' team, leveraging the existing partner footprint and drive regional strategy to accelerate growth as new initiatives arise
  • Manage partnerships that drive significant awareness and user growth with mobile operator and broadband partners in EMEA emerging markets
  • Develop country and partner plans in priority EMEA emerging markets and their respective success metrics
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners including management and optimization of existing partners, support and track new partners through the launch process, contract negotiations, and liaise with YouTube product and technical support teams
  • Execute scalable user acquisition through partnerships and marketing programs

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Business development experience.
  • Experience supporting emerging markets in EMEA and a general experience doing business in this set of countries.
  • Experience in the telco industry, directly or in an advisory capacity.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with distribution partnerships, partner management, agreement negotiations, and strategy and operations.
  • Demonstrated success at working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments including sales, marketing, business development, engineering and product management
  • Ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate contracts and work with attorneys to complete agreements
  • Strong understanding of mobile and broadband business models and priorities for partners
  • Strategic, structured thinker who can articulate new concepts and business models that are unique to emerging markets in EMEA to a global cross-functional team.
