04/09/17  Continue your professional development with CPD accredited courses

Swing back into work after the holidays by earning valuable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points with accredited courses on offer in September from Cambridge Network's Learning Collaboration. New managers will benefit from Transition to Management, while Effective Communication will help to further your career, whatever your role.

Transition to Management on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 September, kindly hosted by Barclays at its Eagle Lab (7-8 Clifton Court, Cherry Hinton Road, CB1 7BN) is intended for those new to management; those with about six months' experience as a manager; high potentials who look to be promoted soon; or technical and project leads who would like to upskill on their management techniques.

The first line manager role is unique in organisations as this person is the one level who manages non-managers. This brings its own set of hurdles to overcome, and for people new to managing others there is a lot to learn.  Being a new manager can be tough; and a practical toolkit of best practice dos and don’ts will really help you to avoid mistakes, and feel more equipped to cope in the early days.

This course is CPD accredited and worth 13 points.

Effective Communication on Thursday 14 September  at the same venue (Barclays Eagle Lab , 7-8 Clifton Court, Cherry Hinton Road, CB1 7BN) will help you to understand your own communication style, the essentials of good communication and develop your confidence to communicate effectively.

By the end of the workshops you will:

  • understand the essential ingredients of effective communication
  • have an understanding of their own communication style
  • have developed their own communication skills
  • have gained confidence in how to effectively influence others

This course is also CPD accredited and worth 6.5 points.
