Joint Games Eden and Location SIG Event: “Making learning fun and relevant by using a games type interface and knowledge of location" At this exciting joint event we look forward to bringing together the games and location communities over an educational theme to look at the role location plays in games and how the two can be used together to enhance learning, training or education, behaviour coaching, or even just as an enjoyable social experience. We are delighted to announce this joint event, sponsored by Anglia Ruskin University and the Location and Timing KTN and championed by David Bartlet of Pyxidium Limited and Nigel Wall of Location & Timing Knowledge Transfer Network from the Location SIG together with Jeremy Cooke of Games Eden. Interesting concepts and ideas will be raised in this event, which brings together games and location over an educational theme. This is particularly relevant as the combination raises some rather interesting opportunities for interaction between "players" in real-life conditions in public places such as stations, airports, museums, concert halls, coffee shops; taking the experience beyond the solitary to a more social interactive space.
