Wireless China

The Wireless China SIG brings together Cambridge Wireless members and other stakeholders who are interested in doing business in China, or who wish to collaborate with Chinese enterprises.

This SIG is championed by Ting Zhang of China Business Solutions and Kevin Maher of Huawei Technologies Co Ltd.

The Wireless China SIG is designed to act as a forum for wireless companies considering doing business in China. The SIG is a meeting place where companies can:

  • network
  • look at technology and market trends
  • share experience
  • explore regulatory issues
  • develop potential partnerships
  • share sources of expertise on the particular challenges of working with and in China.

China is a large potential market for many Cambridge Wireless members, and this SIG aims to facilitate understanding of the trends, regulatory issues, and entry modes for wireless companies in the Chinese wireless arena.

Wireless China SIG, ‘Accessing Global Value Chains in China and Japan’

Cambridge Wireless is delighted in partnership with the UKTI to offer this free unique case-study based forum to allow delegates to hear real stories from UK companies, question experts in the field and obtain the important tools you need to understand the differences between doing business in China and Japan.

This SIG is championed by Ting Zhang of China Business Solutions and Kevin Maher of Huawei Technologies Co Ltd.and partnered by UKTI.

Speakers and Presenters:

China and Japan are among UK’s largest trading partners. The Japanese economy is the second biggest in the world, and its companies are renowned for their high quality products. China has moved from the being the world's manufacturer to an R&D powerhouse in its own right, and is set to topple Japan from its number two position. Add to this Taiwan who are positioned to provide elements of the ODM/OEM model for both Japanese and Chinese companies as well as brand leading products.

These markets offer great potential to UK companies wishing to grow their international business, and although certain similarities exist in terms of culture, the business approach and etiquette required in one market is quite different to the other. The challenge for UK SME's is further compounded by the fact that today's value chains are now global, and China and Japan are trade partners as well as supplying into each other's value chains.

Join this event to hear 'real' stories of UK companies that have taken on the challenges that these markets pose. Whether you are entering one of these markets for the first time, or have already engaged one but are looking to enter the other, you will find this event will arm you with the relevant information to consider your new market entry. In addition, interactive Q&A will give you the opportunity to ask the market experts questions relevant to your business. As usual, this half day event will also provide excellent networking opportunities.

The day will be structured with presentations on a case study-basis, followed by interactive panel Q&A and optional one to one consultations. This event is FREE for all to attend, so please book now to secure your place!
