About David

David is the CTO of CW’s Special Projects where he is technical lead for the 5G private network testbed in Cambridge and responsible for the successful outcome of the corporate digital innovation accelerators and high value collaborations undertaken within CW.

Having started his career as a software developer working for BT and Acorn Computers, David went on to hold senior roles in a number of world-class organisations such as Symbian, Cambridge University and Citrix in addition to a number of start-ups in the areas of Software Development, Product Management, Research, Technical Consultancy and System Architecture. His background includes leading and developing teams involved in the creation of large-scale integrated hardware and software products, web-based services and CE devices. Prior to joining CW, David was VP Software/Head of R&D for Huawei’s NB-IoT chipset development team in Cambridge and Shanghai. David is also highly experienced in large-scale agile development practices, agile coaching/transformation and creating and executing strategies for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations.
