During National Apprenticeship Week, Cambridge Network is hosting an event in association with the Skills Funding Agency to support businesses which may be considering apprenticeships. Representatives from the Skills Funding Agency and local training providers will be in attendance, along with companies who have had success with apprenticeships and are willing to share their experiences.
Speakers include Bill Parsons, former EVP of ARM, who will talk about the demand for digital skills and the growing skills deficit, and the COO of Bango, David Keeling, National Apprenticeship Ambassador, who said: "As a former apprentice myself, I felt compelled to help other businesses benefit from our experience and take on apprentices to build a future skills pool." Karen Kelly from the Skills Funding Agency will provide a session on the myths, barriers and truths surrounding the recruitment of apprentices.
