IoT Security Summit 2015 - Bletchley Park

Brought to you by TechWorks

With a growing attack surface and horror stories reported almost daily, it is no surprise that IoT security is consistently ranked in the top 3 challenges for technology providers to address. This Summit brings together the players from industry, academia and government in a focused forum to analyse the complex and evolving context of IoT Security.

Registration for this event is now closed.

About the event

The number of available IP addresses is a staggering 340 trillion, trillion, trillion. More and more "things" are becoming connected every day and with more and more deployments of IoT there is a rapidly expanding surface for adversaries to attack.

This provides theatre for industry as the connectivity opportunity also brings the security challenge. Consumers of goods and services mandate trust while technology providers and their business customers require fit for purpose solutions. The future is unlike the past as typical applications are constrained by cost, computational performance, bandwidth, energy and network access. Add in the extended life expectancy of devices, networks and the resilience of systems and that security challenge is ever-complex.

The UK has a fine heritage in communications and computing technology plus a rich capability in cyber-security. These national assets should be leveraged for both economic and commercial gain yet the IoT "elements of security" landscape is fragmented, ill-defined and evolving. This summit will bring together the technology players, consumers and influencers in a national forum to explore the opportunity for the Internet of Things Security.

We're proud to announce an impressive initial line-up of speakers for this premium event:

  • Mike Muller, CTO ARM
  • Dr. Steve Unger, CTO Ofcom
  • Steve Babbage, Distinguished Engineer Vodafone
  • Stan Boland, Serial Entrepreneur and NMI Chairman
