150M€ EU funding on offer for Software and Electronics SMEs in the ICT and FoF Programmes

Briefing Event on 5th November in London for companies interested in bidding into EU funding. Funding covers “Systems of Systems” to “Smart Systems” to “Embedded Systems” Industry 4.0, or FoF, will be an excellent opportunity for wireless and embedded systems companies and EU has designed programmes aimed at helping SMEs enter the market.

KTN, with the UK NCP for ICT, is holding a briefing event for European funding competitions specifically:

FoF-11-2016 - (53M€) -Digital Automation, Factories of the Future FoF-12-2017 - (33M€) -ICT Innovation for Manufacturing SMEs (I4MS) ICT-01-2016 – (20M€) -Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) ICT-03-2016 – (18.5M€) -Smart Systems Integration (SSI) ICT-04-2017 - (25.5M€) -Smart Anything Everywhere Initiative

The purpose of this event will be to:

  • Present information on the range of European funding calls
  • Learn from case studies of active projects in these areas
  • Present practical aspects on 'How to do it'

Background to Event

If you run a business or are an academic brimming with innovative ideas you can now take advantage of the largest ever EU Research and Innovation funding programme. With the emphasis on excellent science, industrial leadership and tackling societal challenges, Horizon 2020's goal is to ensure Europe produces world-class science, removes barriers to innovation and makes it easier for the public and private sectors to work together in delivering innovation.

Horizon 2020 is open to everyone, with a simpler structure than previous programmes. Thanks to its healthy budget Horizon 2020 offers UK businesses and researchers important opportunities to find finance, networks and partnerships for innovation. Who should attend? Business and other organisations from any industry sector wishing to lead or collaborate in European-funded research and innovation Businesses from any industry sector wishing to understand the potential for participating in European projects in the future.

Outline Agenda

There will be presentations from the European Commission, UK NCP for ICT, KTN, EEN and others. You will be able to get advice on applications and guidance on where applicants can go wrong.
