World class science is often not seen by local companies until someone from outside swoops in to sponsor or buy it. January’s event was so inspiring that we were keen to show some of the emerging work that is developing here in Cambridge. A mix of disciplines, all of which will be relevant to healthcare, one of the ideas may spark something relevant to your future. We will show 20-25 succinct two minute explanations, with the opportunity to meet up for more depth if you spot something of interest.
Co-chaired by Prof Sir Mark Welland and Dr Hermann Hauser, we will manage shotgun explanations that give key messages from the project, envisaged applications and impact followed by some mingling and discussion in the Hauser Forum West Café, designed to bring Cambridge research to the attention of our businesses.
The University of Cambridge Knowledge Transfer Facilitators (supported by the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account and the MRC Proximity to Discovery: Industry Engagement award) are coordinating the selection of speakers.
Timings: Registration at 6:00pm and the talks will start at 6.30pm with an introduction by Prof Sir Mark Welland from The Nanoscience Centre. There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to network after the event, which we estimate will end around 8.30pm.
