Brain Injury Technologies Think (BITT) tank

Brought to you by NIHR Brain Injury MedTech Co-operative

The NIHR Brain Injury Healthcare Technology Co-operative (HTC) is holding a focused Technology Showcase and Think Tank aimed at Technologies for Independent Living.

Registration for this event is now closed.

About the event

Following the success of the Brain Injury Technologies Think (BITT) tank, held in March 2015, the NIHR Brain Injury Healthcare Technology Co-operative (HTC) will be delivering the BITT tank series throughout 2016 to showcase technologies in our 4 priority areas:

  • Primary Prevention Brain-BITT
  • Acute monitoring and treatment
  • Co-ordinated Care
  • Technologies for Independent Living

We are kicking off with ‘Technologies for Independent Living’ on 27th January 2016 at Madingley Hall in Cambridge. The aim of the day is to provide an opportunity for independent feedback from clinicians, partners and academics for tech innovators and to identify the next steps in development and how the Brain Injury HTC can best facilitate these desired outcomes. This event is also an opportunity to explore potential collaborations between industry, academics and clinicians within the field of Technologies for Independent Living following brain injury.

Upcoming grant opportunities addressing these unmet needs will be signposted during the day. We are now inviting expression of interest from SMEs, start-ups and project teams to take part in our technology showcase! We welcome applications from companies and project teams with healthcare technologies that would like to take the opportunity to provide a short presentation followed by expert Q&A.

If you are interested in contributing to this showcase and networking event, please contact Talissa Gasser, tg382@cam.ac.uk. This event is free of charge!
