Breakfast Networking: Understanding the challenges faced by online brands (a Cambridge Network event)

Brought to you by Cambridge Network

Trading online is a fantastic way to extend your market and engage with customers, however it is not without its risks. We will look at your online reputation as well as some of the activities of online criminals, the lengths they will go to and the measures businesses should consider taking to proactively protect their online investment.

Registration for this event is now closed.

About the event

The digital space opens brands up to all elements of feedback, both positive and negative. Lots ignore it, some embrace it but fundamentally, when you are online, people can comment on your brand whether you like it or not!

Our first speaker, Sam from Clicks, will talk about how to embrace your online reputation and how you can get it to work hard for you, helping you to convert more sales. The world of online business is a good place to be. For many businesses, promoting brands online is the right thing to do and can help propel the business to new heights. However, there are challenges in the online world, which should be understood and managed. Many businesses are unaware their online investment is, or can be easily ripped-off. A significant part of the issue is a lack of awareness. For example, many SMEs do not believe online criminals would target their businesses.

Our second speaker, Kieran Caulfield from Nameshield, will talk about some of the interesting cases of online fraud and brand exploitation; highlight some of the brand exploitation issues and how a company can apply proactive defensive strategies to protect their online investment and their business.
