We are delighted to announce our second Founders' Dinner for 2019 will be held at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. By invitation only and exclusive to CW Founder members, this popular dinner will start with pre-dinner drinks held at The Old Library followed by dinner in the Lower Hall.

About the event

As a major event in the CW calendar, the Founders' Dinner offers business networking opportunities and introductions with other Founder member organisations within the CW network.

We are delighted to announce Corli Pretorius, Deputy Director of UNEP-WCMC as our distinguised after-dinner speaker and will be speaking on 'Can the tech sector provide profitable solutions to the challenges of people and nature?'

In the usual tradition, the format for the evening is:

5.30 pm Drinks Reception and Business Networking sponsored by PwC UK

7.00 pm Welcome from Chairman of CW, followed by Dinner

9.00 - 9.30 pm Speech by Corli Pretorius, followed by Q&A

9.30 - 10.00 pm Networking and event close

Corli Pretorius - Deputy Diector, UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre

Corli Pretorius is the Deputy Director of the UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), based in Cambridge, UK. She brings almost 20 years of experience in global public policy on environment and development, including the last 10 years with the UN Environment Programme. Enabling governments and business to better integrate biodiversity and ecosystem knowledge in decision-making is a key component of her work. Earlier, she worked for IUCN in Gland, Switzerland and started her international career with the Secretariat of the World Commission on Dams, based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has degrees in planning, agricultural development and agricultural economics.
