About the event

Enjoy dinner, drinks and a chance to meet…

Mike Scialom is a leading business journalist, who currently works on the business desk at the Cambridge Independent. A former regional daily journalist, Mike has also written a book, ‘Press-Ganged: Journalism’s shaky start to the Digital Age’ which offers a personal take on how practices changed during his 20 year career at the Cambridge News. Mike started out as an entrepreneur, co-founding a business that achieved an AIM listing, so understands things from both sides of the table. Mike will be sharing all on securing press coverage for your business.

This dinner is perfect for…

Business owners and CEOs and management level.
If you'd like to join but don't fall neatly within the above categories, please email us at hello@tablecrowd.com to discuss whether this is the right dinner for you. Also feel free to check out our other dinners as another might match you perfectly!

The dinner conversation will be…

Mike is keen to pass on his experience and knowledge of finding and writing interesting business worthy stories and will share all on:
Securing press coverage for your business - what makes for an interesting story.
Identifying the human interest story in your business.
How to successfully approach a journalist about your story.
What not to do when seeking to gain media coverage.
Expect to hear from Mike on what it takes to get your business covered in the news, to leave with ideas and inspiration for your own business, as well as the opportunity to speak to others facing similar industry challenges and opportunities as you informally over dinner.
