In this course, we will introduce the visual design principles that are critical in designing products that are both engaging and usable. When applied correctly, visual design can enhance more than aesthetic appeal alone. By synthesizing user experience best practices with visual design concepts and a knowledge of human factors, participants will learn to combine form and function to generate truly exceptional products.

• An overview of visual design theory
• Visual design techniques that enhance emotionally engagement
• The tools to create a visual language
• Guidelines for understanding, creating and implementing style guides
• Experience applying usability principles in visual design through hands-on exercises
