We need to talk about Brexit. Now!

Brought to you by Cambridge Network

"Brexit is the biggest crisis facing the country since the second world war and it’s in my field” says Catherine Barnard, Professor of EU Law and Senior Tutor at Trinity College, it’s important to be out there talking about it now – rather than writing a book in 20 years discussing what went wrong

Registration for this event is now closed.

About the event

Come and talk about it now with Catherine, who will explain why law underpins every aspect of how Brexit will play out. (Quote taken from CAM - Cambridge Alumni Magazine).

The UK has left the EU and the transition period will come to an end in January 2021, with far-reaching implications for citizens, businesses and travellers. There will be changes for the economy, business and industry, tax, regulatory standards, travel, EU research funding, the list goes on. This huge raft of change means that Brexit has complex legal issues to be navigated and negotiated. Additionally, the wider picture of Covid-19, data security, trade and China highlights the need for the UK to be able to cooperate effectively with the EU in the future. Professor Catherine Barnard is keen that we get regulation right at the outset, not in several years’ time. So, what happens next?

Come to this one hour session straight-talking session to learn what we need to know about the many legal aspects of Brexit.
