Due to the coronavirus situation, the decision has been made to combine the Cambridge and London events into one at the TechUK (London) venue. You are more than welcome to join our event in London at the address above, or you can choose to join us virtually via Zoom online conference. Just register and we will send you the dial in link afterwards.
China is increasingly becoming a source of investment for tech businesses especially in sectors that fit with China’s strategic goals, such as IoT and semiconductor technology. However, there are some distinct requirements from Chinese investors that Western entrepreneurs should be aware of and aim to address, if they would like to increase the likelihood of success of raising funding from the China. At this event, Crayfish Accelerator anchor investor DBI will talk about market, tech trends and investment opportunities in these sectors in China, and also how to engage with the Chinese investors. DBI will be joining by video link due to the Coronavirus outbreak in China.
In addition, five start-ups will have the opportunity to make a short pitch and to meet with the DBI team privately. If you are interested in pitching or having a 1-to-1 meeting at the roadshow, please send your business plan (fewer than 10 pages) to accelerator@crayfish.io by Thursday 6 February.
This event is free of charge for CW members and existing applicants of the Crayfish Accelerator Programme (if the latter, please email your programme contact at Crayfish for reservation).
Attendance at this event is restricted to the technology start-up community. To manage this we are running an expression of interest. If you would like to attend, simply complete the expression of interest form and we will be in touch to confirm your place!
The Crayfish Accelerator Programme is the first ever funded initiative in the UK to help tech start-ups and small businesses get ‘China-ready’, providing a crucial combination of money and hand-holding: a strategic Chinese investor to fund China market entry and all the necessary training, business expertise and service delivery capabilities to facilitate it. The current sector focus of the Programme is medical devices, advanced manufacturing and new materials, and will be soon expanding to cover Internet of Things and semiconductor.
