About the event

On the 6th October 2021, Anglia supported by Renesas and Anglia design partner AND Technology Research, will host an Energy Harvesting online workshop. This webinar will walk through the design steps and challenges encountered whilst developing an Energy Harvesting demonstration unit that showcases the full energy harvesting features and benefits of the Renesas RE SOTB based Microcontroller.

This webinar is aimed at giving insight on how to achieve a highly functional, ultra-low power consuming solution with connectivity. It is targeted at engineers looking to develop embedded energy harvesting solutions or hoping to extend the battery life of their products.

An Anglia Workshop, delivered by CW

Renesas

Renesas is a global semiconductor company delivering trusted embedded design innovation with complete semiconductor solutions that enable billions of connected, intelligent devices to enhance the way people work and live.

  • Leads globally in Microcontrollers, Analog, Power, and SoC products
  • Focuses on a broad range of Automotive, Industrial, Home Electronics, Office Automation, and Information Communication Technology applications

This webinar is based around their latest demonstration unit based on the Renesas  RE Cortex-M Ultra-low Power MCUs, the World’s Most Energy Efficient MCUs with Arm® Cortex® M Core Implemented on Silicon on Thin Buried Oxide (SOTB); with a 705 ULPMark-CP Score Certified by EEMBC ULPMark™ Benchmark. Plus, a range of features that can either extend or remove the need for a primary battery.  The RE Family can significantly extend battery life and deliver high performance even for small batteries and energy harvesting power supplies that can supply only a small amount of current. The RE Family is suitable for many IoT applications such as hybrid watches, smart homes/buildings, healthcare, smart agriculture, structure monitoring, and trackers.
