The Internet of Things and the impending potential of connected systems suggests a fundamentally different future with better utilisation of assets leading to more productive (and enjoyable) lives.
However this potential raises crucial challenges, predominantly the true value of this opportunity and how such connections will affect our life.
This User Experience SIG will explore the many challenges and benefits of data sharing, examine the concept of privacy in a digital and physical world, and debate and discuss what steps are needed to turn this opportunity into a beneficial reality for all.
Confirmed speakers include:

- Tim Phipps, Wireless Defence and Security, Cambridge Consultants who will explore "Personal Data and its Use in the Civil Society"
- With a presentation from Liz Fitzsimons, Legal Director, Eversheds who will discuss the legal issues surrounding "Data and The Internet of Things"
- Soren Preibusch, Microsoft Research
