Sally will provide some information about AIME and the type of issues that they get involved in and how they represent industry. She will also discuss paying for media via premium rate services and the changes that have been introduced over the last 18 months and where that leaves the market and briefly the Payforit mobile operator application that is now (since October 2012) required for mobile payment in relation to some services.
Gerry will give a short introduction to Bango and share with all some of the major payment platform partnerships announced in 2012. Gerry will not only touch on the challenges faced in addressing regulation on a global basis, he will also look closer to home and address the domestic challenge with a focus on the FSA; does compliance in one territory ensure compliance in all territories? During this round table discussion, Gerry will raise a question for all to debate and explore; should payment platforms be regulated and to what extent?
