Summary
As part of our Field Application Engineer Team you will ensure that the highest level of customer support is provided to customers at all times with a focus on a minimal design-in time and optimum customer satisfaction whilst keeping in line with the company business targets.
Responsibilities include supporting the sales process, advising customers during the evaluation phase, assisting them throughout the design-in process and application devleopment and performing design reviews and analysis of customer applications.This position can be based at our Headquarters in Thalwil (Switzerland) or other locations: Espoo (Finland), Malmo (Sweden) or Reigate (UK).
Tasks:
- Pre-sales assistance
- Design-in support
- After-sales support
- Customer design analysis
- Manage the analysis of Returned Material and feedback to sales and R&D for corrective action
- Provide technical market feedback to R&D and Product Management
- Organise technnical training and workshops
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering
- Experience at design and application level in the fields listed below is an asset:
- Hardware Engineering and/or Software Engineering for Embedded Platforms
Positioning technology (GNSS, GPS)
Cellular technology
Short-range radio technology (Bluetooth, Wifi)
Radio Frequency Systems - Outstanding analytical skills and ability to quickly understand the system architecture of customer applications
- Experience in customer support functions, ability to handle difficult situations with diligence
- Proficiency in English is a must, other languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel abroad (10-20% on a not regular basis)
