Responsibilities
- Team leader including mentoring less experienced team members
- All aspects of the full software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and training
- Creation of functional designs, specifications and costings to be presented internally or to the customer for approval
- Programming to deliver high quality software applications
- Rigorous testing, including regression testing
- Contributing to user documentation
- Code review and adherence to process
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience of programming and systems design
- Experience in Microsoft .NET Framework, C#
- Good analytical and problem solving ability
- Solid mathematical skills
- Attention to detail and a passion for producing high quality software
- Experience of maintaining, extending and amending existing software as well as creating new applications
- Prepared to be flexible and open‐minded about all aspects of the job
- Good communicator
- Experience of GIT/JIRA or similar tools
Desirable
- Experience of DSP and implementation of DSP algorithms
- Experience of embedded programming using C/C++
- Flair for visual design
- Experience in WPF, OOD, ASP.NET, Javascript, AJAX or JQuery
- Knowledge of SQL – Postgres, MySQL
- Experience of producing high performance graphical data visualisation applications
- Experience of security and encryption, communication protocols and client server based systems
- Linux programming
- Familiarity with digital radio systems and understanding of radio propagation
