Apprentice Customer Service Assistant

Summary

Medical Devices – St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Aseptika Ltd (brand Activ8rlives) is looking for an Apprentice to train as a full-time Customer Service Assistant to support their sales and support of their self-care medical devices.

Job Description

You will be enrolled on an Apprentice training programme to learn how to provide frontline support of customers who purchase our products from Amazon/website/eBay etc. This is mostly in the form of email enquiries, very occasionally by telephone. Excellent telephone manner needed, strong empathy skills and focus of the customer at the centre of all that they do.

We have a customer service rating from Amazon of 4.9/5.0 and this only happens when everyone in the company (including the MD) picks up the phone within 3 rings, answers technical support requests within 40 minutes and does everything possible to make it a great experience buying from us. Most of our customers are older people (50+ yrs) and have health problems, so some need more support in using medical technology than others.

Other aspects of the role include:

  • Preparing shipments to customers (same day ship) for orders as they arrive via our website;
  • Preparing bulk shipments to Amazon;
  • Preparing product returns for service/disposal;
  • Maintaining the Amazon/eBay listings;
  • Checking the website store works;
  • Keeping customer FAQs updated;
  • Recording customer questions, complaints, returns etc for regulatory records;
  • Working closely with our Quality Manager to constantly assess and improve our operation based on the feedback from our customers;
  • Acting as the Customer Champion in all product development meetings;
  • Being the voice of the customer within the company.

Requirements

  • A-level results grades A-C, English required
  • Tech savvy and know their way around smartphones and tablets
  • Excellent telephone manner

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary based on skills and experience
  • 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank and public holidays
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
  • Full training provided

Exceptional candidates will be offered full-time employment and further training/education/qualifications opportunities. We want those exceptional young people joining us at the start of their carer to eventually gain an entrance degree or degree qualification while working with us. We never pay our Apprentices less than the Living Wage.
