What the hiring manager says

This role is key in providing support to our Finance Systems team in maintaining interim data interfaces to and from our new Finance system, as we implement, maintain and improve these processes
- Head of IT Applications

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of IT Applications, this role will support the maintenance, execution and monitoring of data interfaces between the Finance system and supporting applications.

As we implement a new platform, initially for Finance and later for HR, phasing of the project and priorities mean that certain interfaces will not be fully automated immediately upon implementation, and thus required interim, semi-automated solutions to support this data exchange in the short term.

The role holder will work with the Finance and Finance Systems teams to ensure that these interfaces run smoothly and are monitored on a daily basis.

The candidate should have relevant experience to be able to run, monitor, maintain, and make minor changes to the interfaces – which are a combination of automated processes and semi-automated Excel/CSV file loads. They will have an appreciation of data and data integrity between systems, and be adept at manipulating data to ensure that it is structured and maintained to support the interfaces.
The role will liaise with other IT team members to understand the data sources and specifically with the Finance Systems Analyst role holder to ensure trouble-free import of data into the destination system.
