PA Consulting Group is creating a series of exciting opportunities within the IT function which supports the global operations of the organisation based in our Global Innovation and Technology Centre in Royston. We have created a unique Early Careers - IT Development Programme for you to join and kickstart your career in IT.  As part of a dynamic organisation, we are offering you the opportunity to build an IT career within our expanding function delivering IT services across the business. You will work closely with experienced colleagues within the function on projects designed to benefit PA as a whole.  Our IT Development Programme will expose you to innovative assignments and projects which transform and enhance the company’s IT applications and services. Recent examples have included developing new management reporting with Microsoft PowerBI to support decision making, through to building a secure environment for Macbooks. 

As such, the exciting programme offers variety and future progression within IT disciplines through a series of assignments allowing you to shape and develop your own IT career based on real world technical challenges and experiences.

Job Requirements

You will be a budding IT enthusiast keen to carve a career within an internal IT function; we’re seeking IT graduates or those with previous commercial experience within the IT sector. Experienced in a high degree of multi-tasking and logical organisational skills, in addition to exceptional problem-solving abilities will be essential for you to excel in this role. You will demonstrate excellent client facing skills and your dedication to troubleshooting will be paramount in delivery of solutions to both internal and external stakeholders. With an adaptable and flexible attitude, you will be positively responding to an ever-changing environment and, as part of our collaborative teams, will display excellent interpersonal skills and good use of initiative. 

Technically minded, you will have excellent work ethic, ambition and desire to achieve within our IT Development Programme. Whilst technical and IT competencies are highly beneficial, they will be enhanced with formal training and on-the-job exposure.
