At Zero Point Motion we are redefining inertial sensors to enable high precision

We're seeking enthusiastic engineers to join our team and shape our technology
design, strategy, and workflow. Together we will bring aerospace/defence levels of sensor
performance to commercial mass markets to transform indoor, autonomous and GNSS-denied
navigation. Can you help us disrupt the inertial sensing market?
You will be involved in all stages of technology and product development including invention, analysis, software architecture, prototype design, laboratory testing, process development, and manufacturing. Your solutions will be implemented using a variety of platforms using embedded CPU on FPGA and ASIC systems. You will be responsible for the software architecture of the embedded SW system controlling the digital processing and managing interfaces to external hardware, including data flows and trace/debug methods to external hosts. This includes platform bring-up and functional verification of sub-systems. You will define and implement the software development flow with version control tools, issue tracking, creating automated build and test solutions for both real-time and post-processing verification. You will be creating, measuring and analysing performance metrics to optimise system design trade-offs between mechanical, mixed signal, digital hardware, CPU, Operating system and software architecture. You will work with software engineers to define host software requirements for functional testing and demonstration platforms, and coordinate with hardware designers to implement trace and measurement functions.

Zero Point Motion’s office and lab space is located in the Bristol University Quantum Technology Innovation Center amongst likeminded start-up companies. There will be a requirement for regular travel to Bristol (if working remotely) and occasional travel throughout the UK and abroad for conferences, meetings and engineering visits.
