The Test Development team is responsible for developing and delivering timely and efficient test solutions for mixed signal ASICs. The purpose will be to support the introduction and volume ramp of chips associated with numerous wireless and audio technologies including Bluetooth, Zigbee, and NFC.

The successful candidate will be working with RF, analogue, digital and embedded Non Volatile Memory technology in a single CMOS integrated circuit. A high standard of mentoring and on the job training will be provided from experienced engineers. Tasks will be well defined and the individual is expected to work with moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to deliver Test Solutions for Qualcomms devices in a timely manner the nature of this task means that it is always on the critical path to volume production and revenue.
  • Will involve all aspects of the Test Development cycle from test program conception through to production and subsequent supporting of full volume manufacturing, including the design of ancillary test hardware.
  • Includes working with design teams to translate the product specifications into analogue parametric tests, merging ATPG and functional digital test vectors and testing Flash or other memory functions
  • Candidates will also be expected to travel (estimated <10%) to other Qualcomm and supplier offices in both US and Taiwan

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of electronic devices and systems
  • Good understanding of programming languages (VB, python and C)
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Good standard of English, both written and verbal


  • References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only. Applications from candidates with equivalent experience will be considered, provided that the candidate can demonstrate an ability to fulfill the principal duties of the role and possesses the required competencies.

Preferrd Qualifications:

  • Some experience in a similar semiconductor organisation
  • Understanding of semiconductor production test methods and technologies, e.g. Automated Test Equipment.
  • Experience or understanding of some of the following functionality: Digital, BIST, Scan, Ram, Flash, RF, Oscillators, Voltage references, Filters and Amplifiers, Li-Ion battery chargers

Education Reqirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
