What’s the Job?
The Graduate Electronics Engineer will work within the electronics team to develop and test a range of hair care and beauty appliances for a successful and growing company which preserves the original dynamic and start-up atmosphere, and is backed by one of the largest beauty companies in the world. Work will include hardware and firmware testing, development of PCB prototypes and test rigs, and electronic/firmware development with support from more experienced engineers.
What will I do?
- Work with firmware, hardware and project engineers to ensure the appliances operate as intended and comply with the specification
- Develop test rigs and test procedures for lab and manufacture testing, including use of LabVIEW (beneficial but not essential) and electronic test equipment
- Support other hardware and firmware engineers during the project life cycle
- Build PCB prototypes (breadboard) and cable assemblies, and rework PCBs
- Produce quality test reports and design documentation
- Carry out troubleshooting and fault-finding
- Support the Quality Control Team in the analysis of field returns
What skills and qualities will I need?
- Ideally a qualified Electronics Engineer with industry or academic experience in embedded systems and/or PCB design
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of electronics engineering
- Basic microcontroller and Embedded C skills
- Basic circuit design skills (power, analogue electronics)
- Familiar with electronic lab equipment and CAD tools (Altium, OrCAD or similar)
- Willing to play a wide role within the electronics team
