As Head of Digital Manufacturing, you will lead and develop the partnerships, project portfolio and funding base for the Catapult’s Digital Manufacturing programme. We are looking for a driven and ambitious individual with a passion for enabling the manufacturing sector to innovate with leading edge technology.

As Head of Digital Manufacturing, you will lead and develop the partnerships, project portfolio and funding base for the Catapult’s Digital Manufacturing programme. We are looking for a driven and ambitious individual with a passion for enabling the manufacturing sector to innovate with leading edge technology. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Be the Catapult’s ambassador on the digital manufacturing and industrial IoT agenda
  • Drive and deliver the Catapult’s digital manufacturing programme
  • Lead business development activities, including seeking additional CR&D funding and commercial income through strategic partnerships and finding sponsors, partners and collaborators for projects
  • Develop innovative and disruptive business models that benefit enterprises of all sizes for leading technology
  • Engage the innovator community

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • Broad and deep understanding of the digital manufacturing market, technology and opportunities, as well as the challenges companies in this sector face with digital adoption
  • Senior-level experience in leading and managing complex initiatives in an industrial, manufacturing and/or technology environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development experience
  • Well connected and networked in the UK with relevant actors, including businesses and government
  • Good understanding of the wider innovation and technology debates in the digital economy and manufacturing sector
