The Role
Our client in Cambridge seeks a Technical Head of Engineering with a confident personality and experience working with communication products to lead and manage a top-class group of Engineering Managers and their Engineering teams.
The Head of Engineering will be responsible for driving the upscale and growth of the company, whilst overseeing all areas of the engineer departments. You will be technically credible supporting your team of Engineering Managers from a multitude of disciplines. Working closely with the CTO and reporting directly to the MD, as part of the executive team.
What’s Required?
The keys aspects of the idea candidate are:
- Strong character and technical confidence
- Proven experience navigating political obstacles
- Driving change within small teams
- Experience implementing a robust design for manufacturing strategy
- Knowledge of communication products
It is desirable, but not necessary that the Engineering Director is still able to support in the hands on design, manufacturing and troubleshooting of products as and when it is necessary.
