IT Delivery Manager

Summary

Sitting at the heart of Europe’s most successful technology cluster, Cambridge Enterprise is part of the University of Cambridge, and supports academics, researchers, staff and students in achieving knowledge transfer and research impact. We do this by helping innovators, experts and entrepreneurs use commercial avenues to develop their ideas and expertise for the benefit of society, the economy, themselves and the University.

This is a full-time role. Flexibility around hours and working pattern will be considered.

The role:

We are seeking an expert, experienced IT technologist to join our IT team.  The holder of this newly created role, reporting to the CTO, will be responsible for technical support and ownership of our predominantly cloud-based infrastructure, platforms and services, as well as management of projects to enhance and further roll these out, supported by third-party implementation partners.  The work will be highly varied and change will be constant.

Your skills:

This role requires familiarity, and ideally hands-on administrative experience, with a range of technologies centred around Microsoft 365, also including Azure Active Directory, Intune Mobile Enterprise Management, Azure services and the Power Platform, or equivalent products from alternative vendors.  Ability to specify, initiate and manage a number of concurrent modest-sized projects and solution deliveries is essential.  You will be an individual with high levels of initiative, quick learning, and good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to prioritise and balance creative tasks such as problem-solving, requirements analysis and solution design with administrative tasks such as record keeping, coaching and documentation, with high attention to detail, is key.

Benefits:

We offer a stimulating environment, in modern office space on a site that is home to a thriving community of academics and research and development, with hybrid working options available.  Our benefits package includes 30 days holiday per year and a University pension. This is alongside a commitment to employee personal development and wellbeing, in a highly flexible environment.

The University of Cambridge and Cambridge Enterprise value diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity.

Location:

Our office is based at the Hauser Forum, on the West Cambridge Site. We offer hybrid working: this role will be office-based for at least two days a week (or more if preferred), with the option of working from home around this.

Interview process:

Closing date: Sunday 3 July 2022

We will hold a two-stage interview process:  the first interview will be held online on Tuesday 12 July 2022, and the second interview will be in person at our Cambridge offices on Tuesday 19 July 2022.
