UltraSoC is a pioneering developer of analytics and monitoring technology at the heart of the systems-on-chip (SoCs) that power today’s electronic products. Our embedded analytics technology allows product designers to add advanced cybersecurity, functional safety and performance tuning features; and it helps resolve critical issues such as increasing system complexity and ever-decreasing time-to-market.

What we are looking for?

The successful candidate will be expanding and improving the existing continuous integration system of automated and manual software tests, using virtual and prototype hardware; developing new tests and investigating issues with both the software product and the infrastructure. A keen interest in quality improvements, usability fixes and identification of unused and untested functionality will be highly beneficial.

What do we need?

  • Experience of Python and test-driven development
  • Operating and maintaining Continuous Integration Systems
  • Knowledge and use of Jenkins
  • Knowledge and use of version control systems
  • Verification and triage of customer reported bugs
  • Excellent skills in creating system tests to prove that the software meets all requirements
  • Excellent skills in stress testing software to locate issues
  • Ability to investigate issues and produce fully documented bug reports
  • Writing and updating documentation for customers and developers
  • Comfortable working and developing in both Linux and Windows

What would be beneficial?

  • Experience of C/C++ development, testing and debugging
  • Experience of FPGA boards and/or development kit hardware
  • Experience of maintaining test infrastructure
  • Knowledge and use of Groovy scripting
  • Knowledge and use of automated test tools for console and GUI applications
  • Previous experience of debugging complex problems
  • Experience of Git, Django, PyTest, Eclipse, XML and/or CPPUnit
