I am actively looking for an experienced Linux kernel/Linux driver engineer to join my client, a global leader in 5G technology, based in Cambridge, the heart of the UK's technology hub! This fantastic location offers both the vibrant culture of a busy historic city alongside beautiful rivers and nature walks.

This opportunity is open to any embedded Linux engineer who has experience down at driver and kernel levels who would like to further their career and get more involved in architectural developments and decisions.  

If successful, you will be responsible for the development  and design of software solutions for new SoC's, collaborate with Open source communities on areas such as Linux Distributions, Specific kernel subsystems, Virtualization and Security issues.

Requirements for the role

  • Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Software, Computer Science or similar
  • 4+ years commercial development experience developing Linux kernel/Linux drivers
  • Understanding of Kernel architectures and internals 
  • BSP and Driver Development
  • ARM microcontrollers
