LRA Technology Risk Director

Summary

A career in our Risk Assurance Technology Strategy and Transformation practice, within Information Technology Risk Assurance services, will allow you to develop and apply strategies that help clients leverage enterprise technologies so they can get a higher return on their investment, mitigate risks, streamline processes, and find operational inefficiencies.

We assist clients in understanding and challenging their current risk profiles and develop strategies to build digital confidence by embracing opportunities to stay competitive through building trust and resilience into their technology systems. We cover a wide range of disciplines, including risk evaluation, operational and strategic Information Technology processes, project governance, application implementation, data integrity, cyber security, and accounting/audit.

Our team focuses on advising clients to provide confidence around the full lifetime of an organisations technology strategy and transformational change programmes.

Responsibilities

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines

  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors

  • Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

  • Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications

  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials

  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

What are we looking for?

PwC is looking for a Director to join our growing Technology Risk practice in the London Region Assurance (LRA) business supporting our mid-market client base. Our PwC Technology Risk Practice in the UK is made up of over 250 professionals nationally who support our clients with a wide range of technology engagements ensuring they have confidence in the various aspects in the way they deploy and enable their businesses through technology.

The LRA Technology Risk business has continued to grow year on year and we have significant growth ambitions leading to our need to expand the team further.

We are looking for a hands-on, client-facing Director who has significant technology experience from within either professional services or industry (and has demonstrable expertise in technology strategy, transformation and change), solving problems, supporting clients and building a team.

Technology Risk sits within the Risk Assurance service line at PwC, where we deal with some of the most important technology related issues facing organisations across all sectors and scale. Managing technology risk and establishing confidence and integrity in technology is vital in business, especially in the disrupted digital world. We help our clients build trust in their technology (from strategy, through delivery to operation) and to have the confidence to successfully rely on it to help them operate their businesses.
