We are looking for an inspirational and highly organised technical leader to drive the development of hardware and software projects at Samsung Cambridge. You will work closely with our teams in Bangalore, Denmark and Korea to deliver world class Wi-Fi and Bluetooth hardware and software for use in Samsung’s mobile phone platforms.
The work we do is complex and challenging. To thrive in the role, you will need to be comfortable managing software and hardware engineers and won’t be afraid to dig into the detail of complex technical problems when needed. You will also involve managing the release of tested software across many different platforms and hardware configurations, so strong organisational skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Drive projects from specification to production
- Work with technical leaders to plan and coordinate development activity
- Set and evaluate project delivery and performance metrics
- Take action to identify and mitigate project risk
- Keep project sponsors, managers and developers across the organisation informed
- Manage the release of software to customers
- Gather and validate customer requirements
Required Skills
- Strong customer facing skills, acquired in a Programme Management, Technical Support, Sales or Marketing role
- An enterprising, inspirational and passionate mind-set
- Good degree in a technical subject (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computing) or equivalent qualification/experience
- Insight, judgement and the ability to lead teams to solve complex technical problems
- Experience working in an international and multisite Project Management role
- Experience managing demanding customer deadlines in a high pace environment
- Proven experience in managing large engineering projects involving software and hardware design
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Willingness to travel internationally and flexibility to work alongside teams and customers in different time zones

- Experience in making or managing software releases
