Project Engineer

Love learning and developing. Love every drop. An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen within our Developer Services team for a Project Engineer.

Salary – Circa £38,000  per annum.

What will you be doing?

Based at our office, Enterprise House, Lincoln , your role will be to coordinate the design and delivery of our water mains for development sites across the North of our region, contributing to the effective management of the relationship between Anglian Water, housing developers, Alliance partners and Self Lay providers

Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, you will be the single point of contact for the customer, processing the necessary queries internally and contributing to the maintenance of customer records. As well as this, you’ll be validating scheme designs, ensuring the most efficient cost option is used without compromising health and safety (under CDM regulation 2015) and the overall quality of work whilst protecting water quality at all times.

Responsible for  financial control of schemes you will work with designers to reduce cost of mainlaying expenditure. In addition you will be responsible for reconciling cost by approving  track sheets in line with agreed practice. Your role will be to challenge items were applicable and monitor delivery costs agaisnt design value

Other work within this role includes generating impact and commissioning plans, progressing scheme review reports through weekly programmes meetings and that all work undertaken is agreed to safety standards.

What do you need?

You will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent (ideally in a relevant degree such as Engineering).  The ideal candidate will demonstrate significant commercial awareness and experience of identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities.  You have the ability to build excellent customer relationships and possess strong negotiating and influencing skills.  You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and change and to think strategically and analytically. A technical/engineering background would be an advantage
