Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified graduate to manage and deliver the KTP project plan in developing artificially intelligent and commercially efficient robotic systems, incorporating machine learning into the vegetable harvesting and picking process for fresh produce grown in glass houses.This position is a 36 month fixed term, full-time (39 hours) contract, with a £6k dedicated training budget tailored towards your personal development. Salary £33,246 -£40,700

Duties will include:
- Stage 1: Identification of prototype’s working environment
- Stage 2: Identification & evaluation of technical requirements
- Stage 3: Stepped implementation and system vision
- Stage 4: Preparation of arm, gripper & cutter
- Stage 5: Mobilisation of robot in environment
- Stage 6: Combining developmental work
- Stage 7: In field testing
- Stage 8 & 9: Component evaluation and prototype evaluation.
Qualifications we require:
- A PhD (or be completing within 3 months) in Robotics, Cybernetics, Mechatronics, AI or related field is essential. An MSc in one of these fields is desirable
The successful candidate must possess…
- Experience in programming C/C++, Python & ROS
- Experience in developing algorithms & software in an area related to robotics.
- Experience of Project Management.
- Experience in robotic hardware, design, assembly and programming.

- Excellent knowledge of programming robots.
