Software Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager, Revolutionary Medical Start-Up, Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced software team leader or manager to become part of an exciting start-up at an early stage, you will work with the founders to grow the software development team. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead the development of medical device software and bring products to market. You will work with Python and AI frameworks while ensuring that medical standards are upheld. This role will require a significant amount of hands-on software development and later can become more or less hands-off depending on the candidate. 

Key skills and experience for the successful Software Engineering Manager:

  • Medical device development experience 
  • Leadership/Management experience
  • Professional software development experience
  • Hands on Python experience
  • Excellent communication and team work skills

Experience of approvals and post-market management of medical devices as well as their development would be highly advantageous, preferably with a large scale software component. Python experience is highly desired but not essential, as would be any experience in Data Science, AI, Deep Learning or Machine Learning.
