Brief description of the role

We are looking for a talented and ambitious creative designer who will work within our software and industrial design teams to design user interfaces and experiences for our clients’ products.

As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for applying a user-centred design methodology to projects from start to finish. You will have a passion for elegant and intuitive interfaces, and an ability to reframe problems to uncover simple design solutions that are relevant to the product in question.

You will work closely with our human factors experts, industrial designers, software engineers, clients and end users to create engaging digital and physical experiences across embedded, mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

You will have a keen interest in wire-framing and user flows, layout, illustration, colour, typography and perhaps photography. You may also be interested in building prototypes, animation, graphic design, marketing and brand identity.

You will use these skills to create a range of design outputs, from flow diagrams and sketches, through to wire-frames and interactive prototypes that can be tested with real users. The designs need to be high-quality solutions that can be implemented by the software and industrial design teams.

Your continued professional and personal development is paramount to us and we will therefore offer tailored guidance and support whilst you are working on interesting and challenging projects.

You will represent the company through external meetings with clients and suppliers, as well as being an effective member of internal project teams.

You will contribute as part of a team to fulfil the company’s corporate marketing and branding material as well as company presentations.

Design work will be undertaken in accordance with industry standards and working within an ISO 13485 quality management system.
