Allia is a charity that supports social ventures – organisations that are dedicated to making a positive social impact. We provide business support, work space and finance solutions to help social ventures start up, grow and create social benefit.
Allia’s mission is to help people make a positive impact. We’re currently involved in four main areas of activity, along with a number of one-off projects:
Retail Charity Bonds
Retail Charity Bonds opens up a new dimension of borrowing for UK charities, enabling them to raise medium term debt finance through bonds issued to retail and wholesale investors and listed on London Stock Exchange. The platform offers charities the opportunity to access market demand for retail bonds at affordable cost, and engage with a new audience of savers and investors. www.retailcharitybonds.co.uk
Allia’s Charitable Bond is a five-year ethical savings bond that allows investors to donate interest upfront to their chosen charity. The bonds are issued by Allia and we generate the interest by lending to a not-for-dividend social housing provider that creates homes and provides services for people who live in them. www.allia.org.uk
