ViewRanger, the popular outdoors gps navigation app with social network for outdoor enthusiasts, and Bauer Consumer Media have extended their agreement that sees Trail Magazine walking and hiking trail guides published through the ViewRanger platform.
Trail Magazine is the UK’s leading publication for walkers and hikers, and each month it includes a collection of route guides compiled by some of the best outdoor writers around. The Trail routes feature both classic and stunning new locations, they include essential and informative descriptions as well as inspiring photographs.
The agreement between Bauer and ViewRanger sees digital versions of these guides published through ViewRanger to coincide with the magazine’s release on the newsstands. These guides are available to download in the ViewRanger app on Apple, Android, and Symbian smartphones and tablets, and are available through the My.ViewRanger social network website.
Trail Magazine routes have already proved popular with ViewRanger users and have dominated the “most popular routes” charts this year.
The Trail Magazine routes are available for free download within ViewRanger for 30 days after magazine publication. Thereafter, when the next magazine issue is published, the prior months routes can be downloaded at a cost of 40 ViewRanger credits (i.e. 60p per route).
